Recruitment
The recruitment or “rush” team oversees the recruitment of new members and helps high school seniors and college freshmen understand what it means to be a Texas Fiji. The recruitment team changes year to year and is made up of members of the Junior class. If you would like to make a financial contribution to the recruitment effort, please see the “Recruitment Donations” tab under “Giving Back.” If you would like to submit the name of a prospective member, please see the “Recruitment Recommendations” tab under “Alumni.” Feel free to contact the rush team at Rush@txfiji.com with any other questions or concerns.
Philanthropy
The philanthropy committee organizes external service projects and maintains relationships with various philanthropies throughout the Austin community. Tau Deuteron has recently volunteered with the Austin Race for the Cure, Feed My People, and others groups around the city. Please contact our philanthropy chair at Philanthropy@txfiji.com if your philanthropic organization or event would like to partner with Texas Fiji!
Academic
The academic committee is a crucial part of our fraternity’s success. This team is made up of five active members to who set high goals for academic achievement and work with the chapter to emphasize this aspect of our organization. We believe that the fraternity environment can and should be conducive to each member’s academic success.
Social
The social team is in charge of planning events for active members and alumni ranging from tailgates to Pig Dinner and the Fiji Island Party. We hope to see our alumni at Buen Retiro for many of these events in the near future!
